使用EndNote Online Search - PubMed(NLM)時出現「Windows error: 12157. Message: "An error occurred in the secure channel support".」

PubMed在2016年11月份時網站更新為加密型(https)網頁後，

作業系統為XP者，使用EndNote Online Search - PubMed(NLM)時會出現錯誤訊息，如下：

「Windows error: 12157. Message: "An error occurred in the secure channel support".」

EndNote原廠表示這是由於Windows XP產生的問題，將作業系統升級至Windows 7之後，此問題已經解決。

把EndNote當作資料庫檢索！建立參考文獻方式三：Online Search

EndNote有三種模式

Integrated Library & Online Search Mode：提供所有群組功能包含線上搜尋。
Local Library Mode：僅有EndNote Library中的Reference，沒有線上搜尋的功能。

Online Search Mode (Temporary Library)：僅有線上搜尋，找到的資料並不會直接匯入到EndNote Library中。

要連線檢索資料庫資料例PubMed，請先切換到【Online Search Mode】後，再開始進行Online Search

例：

1. 選擇要查詢的PubMed線上資料庫，或點選【more】選擇其它線上資料庫。

2. 在右方輸入檢索條件。

3. 查到的資料Retrieve Record (例：10筆)，會存放在一暫存的Library (Temporary Library)

建議查詢的關鍵字要精準，才不會找到太多的資料，像範例中即找到900多筆的資料，需要重新檢索。

在PubMed查到資料後，想要匯出／匯入到EndNote Library，該怎麼做呢？建立參考文獻方式一：匯入文獻

勾選需要的資料
點選Send to ＼ Citation Manager ＼ Create File

資料即會自動匯入到已開啟的Library裡
若您尚未開啟任何Library，它會出現開啟檔案的畫面
您再選擇需要匯入的Library即可
